Where was the first ski ever discovered and approximately how old was it? The oldest known ski, Kalvtraskidan was found in 1924 in a bog near the village of Kalvträsk, in Skelleftea, Sweden, and has been carbon dated to roughly 3200 B.C. or about 5200 years old.
